Engineering use and professional responsibility
PileAxis is an engineering analysis and decision-support tool, not a substitute for the independent judgement of a qualified professional. Its results must be reviewed and approved by a licensed engineer before they are used for design, a drawing, a submittal or construction.
Results depend on the information, assumptions, criteria and code provisions selected by the user. The soil is represented by the p-y, t-z and Q-z models and the parameters you enter; real soil may behave differently from these idealized curves, and site-specific geotechnical recommendations take precedence over the program's models and defaults. The program analyses a single pile in one bending plane under static loading: pile groups are approximated only through the p-multipliers you enter, cyclic effects only through the API sand model's cyclic factor, and pile group interaction, dynamic and time-history response, liquefaction and lateral spreading, and pile driveability are outside its scope. Driving-stress results are for information.
You are responsible for reviewing all inputs, validating calculations, interpreting results and determining whether the information produced is suitable for a particular project, jurisdiction, design, drawing or submittal.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, RamisoftSolutions is not liable for decisions made or actions taken in reliance on information produced by the software, or for resulting designs, losses, damages or claims. All results must be independently verified before professional or construction use.
The AI Assistant
The AI Assistant answers questions about the open project, its results and the program's methods using a generative AI model. It reads your project and cannot change it. Its answers can be incomplete or wrong, even where it cites a source: treat each one as a pointer to check against the program's own screens, the User's Manual and the references it names, and trust the screens where they differ. Its answers are subject to everything in the section above.
Using an AI assistant with your cloud projects
You may connect an AI assistant of your choosing to your cloud projects, where it acts with your account. Everything it submits is your submission: the projects it creates and the questions it answers on your behalf are yours to review as if you had entered them yourself, and the responsibility above applies to them in full. The assistant and its provider are not part of our service; we are not responsible for how an assistant reads a document or states a value, nor for the provider's availability or terms. We may suspend an assistant's access that disrupts the service or is used in breach of these terms, without affecting your own.
Changes to these terms
We will post any change here, with a new effective date.
