The free trial is counted from your first sign-in to PileAxis, and a banner in the program says how it stands. Nothing is charged at any point, and there are no in-app purchases.
One account, two programs, two trials
A Ramisoft account signs in to PileAxis and to FoundaTrix Studio, its sister program for rigid foundations. Each program keeps its own subscription and its own free trial, which starts the first time you sign in to that program.

Questions
Before you ask.
Do I need an account to use PileAxis?
No. Drilled-shaft analysis, the section, soil and equilibrium checks, the governing report and project files on your own computer need no account and work offline. You sign in only for the cloud and the Pro features.
Is the free version a trial?
No. The free capabilities are not time-limited: nothing counts down and there is nothing to cancel. Only the Pro features have a free trial.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Nothing is charged, and you are not asked for payment details at any point. The Pro features close, everything free keeps working exactly as before, and your cloud projects stay in your account. A project that already holds a driven pile still opens, shows and runs it; choosing a driven pile for another pile needs Pro.
Why is a project with a driven pile saved to the cloud and not to a file?
A project that holds a Pro input that stays in the project, a driven pile type or a user-defined tabular p-y curve, is saved to the cloud only, and the program says so when you save it. A project without one saves to a file on your computer as always. The pushover and the PDF report leave nothing in the project and do not change where it is saved.
Will Pro cost money?
Pro is the plan that keeps the Pro features open without a time limit. Its pricing has not been announced yet and will be published on this page. If you would like it for your firm, tell us.
What do you collect about me?
Nothing from your own computer: no telemetry, analytics or advertising, and your local projects are never sent to us. When you sign in, the service keeps your account and what you save to the cloud; the AI Assistant sends your question and the project data it needs to Microsoft's Azure AI service, and we keep only a count of your use. The privacy policy says exactly what, and for how long.
